Damn

Ever thought you could do something effortlessly but it turned out to be a chore?
Ever thought nothing you did worked?

Boy,

Teach me. Teach me how to walk away the way you do. With your head held high and with ur pride intact. Teach me how not to recall happy times or even normal ones. Teach me how not to let everything remind me of you. Teach me how to smile and pretend tt everything is fine. Teach me how to get used to this.

Because I can't. Since the day I said I love you, I have stayed falling. Even when I thought I hit the bottom, you do something to make me love you even more. It doesn't take much to make me weak at the knees and fluttering inside. Its just you being you that I cannot come to terms with losing.

No one can understand how I feel. Yes, I deserve this because I chose to stay in this cycle. Yes, I got no right to cry because I brought this upon myself. Yes, I shld hv expected this because everyone warned me. Yes, I shldn't be posting this.

But fuck everything. If you knew just half of the confusion I am in. If you suffered just a third of the pain. If you saw the hopelessness I see, perhaps you would care abit more. I was afterall your friend wasn't I?

I was there when you were sick and needy. I was there when you were lonely. I was there simply because I wanted to be and nothing cld keep me away. But when will it be my turn?

I need you boy. Forget what I said about knowing what to do. I don't know what to do. I don't know what I want. I just know it sucks to wait for my caller ID to pop out your name. And how I prance for the phone each time a msg beeps.

I don't need you to love me. I don't need you to be anyone special. I don't ask for much. Maybe I am just in shock tts all.

Please.

First day, Last sem

Today I started the first day of my last term in poly. Snoozing the alarm 7 times and oversleeping wasn't a gd way to start it. Cheeleng's early morning "Monday Blues" proclaimation didn't help things either...

But, I got presents!!!!

Hello Kitty charm bracelet frm Cheeleng and Tiffifi,
Bottled sand deco (PINK!!!) frm Darren,
and alcohol chocs frm Cairong.

Got back Math paper and aced it. Ong Joo Ling even smiled at me!!!

Later, had a long chat at Tamp Mall with Jing Xian over oh-so-yummy Mcflurry chocolate ice-cream and large fries...

Monday isn't so blue afterall... And the best thing of all, PUBLIC HOLIDAY ROUND THE CORNER!!!! *whoops in delight*

Okay.... This is random and I intended to blog more abt the Dubai trip but Trix has monopolised the memory cards. :(

Day 2 in Dubai

Sorry for the delay.. I am really hooked onto Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. Haha.. Yeah, it probably sounds weird tt here I am halfway around the globe and I hv nothing better to do than to watch repeat telecasts of programmes everyone hv already watched but unless I speak Arabic, I hardly understand anything else on TV. :(

Anyway, here are the photos of Dubai day 2!

Breakfast of hard-boiled eggs, w/o yolk. MY FAVOURITE!!!

Went out for a drive around the neighbourhood... Alot of "indian" shops.

Museums don't really interest us so we went round 6 times to catch a picture of the entrance (camera was too slow) but didn't go in.

I love their buildings.. All v intricately designed and built.

Rich ppl houses along the beach front! Really palace-like...

There are v few free beaches or parks in Dubai bcoz rich ppl buy up all the beachfront to build their houses. The remaining govt plots of nature are only open to FEMALES AND FAMILIES. So single males can't go and even so, females and families hv to pay to enter!!!!!

One tiny plot of free beach...

HAPPY~

Hot sun = cool shades!

I am tall!!! :)

Big smilessssss.

Daddy's little girl.

10 Dec: Dubai Beach

As we kids played in the sand, the parents took refuge in the car. Spoilt parents! tsktsk!

From the dist, we cld see The Sail (Burj Al-Arab) and the ship's body (Jumeira Hotel)... 7 star hotel wor!!! Thousands of dollars per night!

Grand mosques...

Really awesome! :)

Here, the rich can hv literally everything! And the masses get alot of free stuff like free parking, ultra cheap petrol (land of oil ma!) AND FREE TAMPONS IN THE LADIES!

Example of rich man and his "toys"...

Air-con bus stops with v irregular FREE buses! Most of the time, these bus stops are for ppl to take refuge frm the heat.

Spinneys is like the elite supermarket here and is the only supermarket licensed to sell pork and alcohol in Muslim UA.E.

Aft the beach, we visited Souk. The hang-out for expats and tourists...

Outdoor shops and rest areas...

Indoors. Love the beams above, very country-feel...

Shopping time!

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. :P

Date and nut shop... YUM!

Sisha is popular here!

Bottled sand art.. Damn colourful!

Really skilled master at wrk.

Brass decos are popular too!

Me is short.

Lunch at a Jap fushion restaurant.

Next stop was the Mall of the Emirates.

There wasn't an amusement park unlike Sahara Mall but there was a ski slope! 4 storeys high, complete with ski lifts and real snow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ice sculptures and slides make up the kiddy area. Cool lah!

Cool toy store with v realistic soft toys!! LIFE-SIZE!!!!!

Ma, I want this for xmas! :P

But needless to say, as everything was freaking expensive, we took a break for donuts! Even so, 1 donut cost $2.

Yum Yum Yum Yum!

Trix is delighted!

Alisa is high!

On our way home, we parked illegally by the side of the road to get photos of the Burj in its lighted splendor.

Upon reaching our apartment, we were hungry so I prepared cup noodles. My cute taichi panda China pyjames is my Dubai pyjames AGAIN!! And I wore my granny shorts. :)

Highlight of the day... GLAZED DONUTS!

Gd night folks!

Day 1 in Dubai

Well, this has been somewhat delayed because of the lack of an internet access on my first wk and photos sorta piled up in the 3 cameras and not to mention the multiple handphones my family brought along to United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) so here are the shots frm my first day and night in Dubai. :)

The neighbours were really nice to offer us a lift to the airport and our luggage ended up needing 2 cars to ferry. LOL!

Lunch was at Sakae Teppanyaki... Cute chawamushi steamed in a yellow onion! ^^

Yummy teppanyaki platter. :D

Me and my chio pink luggages!

The lovebirds say bye bye! :P

Christmas deco at the airport...

Guess what?! These are little marshmallow snowmen with sour candy scarf and cardboard snowboards!! *cute cute cute*

Off we fly~

First sight of the land of oil......

Our hotel apartment for the first wk.. Hotels are really ex (more than $800 per night for a single room and we had to hv 3 rooms!) Even this hotel appartment cost like $1.5k per night?! But at least its a 3 bedroom "house".

At least quite got standard lah...

Rooftop swimming pool!

The nxt day, we set off to find Dubai Mall and ended up getting lost, accidently driving out of Dubai and all the way to Sharjah!!! *faints*

We got quite impressed by a 100% Halal Macdonald when we realised all Macdonalds are actually Halal. So yeah...

Learning the currency... Everything in U.A.E has to be multiplied by 4 and divided by 10 to be in SGD. So mafan! And everything is really really ex here so haven't been shopping much. Poo!

An example of how freaking costly things are here is one fast food meal costing S$15 and tt is considered cheap by lunch standards. Zzzz!

But its still cool coz they give you little remote controls at the food court which buzzes when your food is done and really to be collected.

Briyani rice is well, their usual and this plate costs S$20!

Ice-cream dessert which I proceeded to fall in love with. :P

Sharjah was more conservative then Dubai so we didn't hang around long and soon we were trying to read the map back to Burjuman Mall (largest mall in Bur Dubai).

Fountain sprays above us...

And the light through the water casts a rainbow on the ground. :)

Brian cleary impressed by the world's largest plasma.

But coz everything was too expensive for us to hv much fun shopping, we settled for juice.

The extent of how rich the ppl are here, are LV and Prada shops in practically every, single mall and their doors are not even closed like the boutique shops in Paragon or Taka coz ppl were walking in and out all the time! *envious*

The weather here is between 10-25 degrees. Colder at night and when there is wind.. But the sun is still glaring hot and the air really dry. :( But it is such temperature tt allow such pretty blooms.

And outdoor dining in the middle of the afternoon.

Went on a tour of Bur Dubai on a Wonder Bus which cld travel on both land and sea! :)

Lots of boats to ferry ppl and cargo to and fro Bur Dubai and Deira.

Deira is the CBD area of Dubai and is only accessible frm the residential side by boat (40 cents per trip) and 2 roads. But bcoz the 2 roads are jammed all the time, most workers rely on these boats. But despite high traffic, the water was NOT polluted at all.

U.A.E's 37th birthday!!!!

Brian: TAKE THIS!!! Its Dubai's Twin Towers!!!

Totally mirrored building. Can see the river reflection and sunset? I think this is the National Bank or something...

Quite cool hur?

Singapore's Duck Tours cld learn and serve juice too! :P

90 minutes later, the sun had set.

So it was back to Burjuman for cam-whoring and dinner. :)
